Our First Placement

We just recently received our first foster placement, a newborn.  There are so many unknowns and that is a little more stressful than I anticipated.  We are foster to adopt so it's nerve racking not knowing how long the baby will be here and already getting so attached.  And wow, there is sooooo much paperwork!  

All in all, it's going very well though :)

soooo exciting! My first foster placement was a newborn as well (three weeks old) and i finalized his adoption before he turned 11 months old. He is now almost 3.5 yo. So here's hoping! I remember how hard it was thinking you probably will be able to adopt, but he's still a foster child therefore you never know. Until you get the final papers, that feeling will be there. But enjoy the baby as long as s/he is with you!

We have a baby (over 8 months now) that we have had since she was just under three months and it is and will be in limbo for a while still. It is so hard knowing we are fully attached to think she may not stay. Hugs!

Oops, that answers my question, your baby is a newborn : )
