My First Self Insemination......

greensad.gifgreensad.gif Well I tried my first insemination June 22nd.  My mind played tricks on me for two weeks as I felt different reactions from my body.  Craving, and sore breast.  My menstrual was due on the 6th of this month but I didn't come on until today the 8th.  I'm disappointed but will continue to try.  I followed the instructions that I have been reading online such as tracking my ovulation, taking prenatals, and having an orgasm after insemination.  Unfortunately for me I have PCOS ( poly cystic ovary syndrome).  So taking ovulation test wasn't an option.  I did it any way and all of the results came out the same as I read they would.

So I counted the days to ovulation and used an ovulation calculator.  I only met with my donor once.  I think that was one of my mistakes.  My cycle is a little off as well March my menstrual was the 28th, April 30, nothing in May, June 6, July 8th so i estimate my cycle to be every 32 days.

This month I plan to try between July 22nd - 28th at least 4 days between these dates.

you should read "taking charge of your fertility" and go to fertilityfriend.com and start charting your Basal Body Temperature.

good luck!

Thank you :-)

Agreed. There is also tcoyf.com but it's slower than fertilityfriend.com. Once you get to know your cycle (still learning my own) you'll know when to expect ovulation. Good luck to you!

Update......wild.gif It is now September.  I've been taking Clomid since August and still no luck.  This time it is due to the donor.  I can't seem to get a reliable one.  I've spoken with atleast 15 donors and out of all of them none are coming through for us as planned.  I am trying so hard to be patient with this.

Hey Vybe I'm using a donor too, I've sent you a private message.

I also use donors, and yes they can be so unreliable!

It seems like the best thing to do is to schedule multiple donors and hope one comes through.

Think Fertile Thoughts!
