Trying for #2 - my TWW

Hi, I'm new here on the forums. I was on another website forum while I TTC'd #1 and throughout my pregnancy and I met some really great ladies and made many friends. I hope that happens this time, too!
I'm a 36 y.o. SAHM to a boisterous 26 m.o. boy and we just started trying for our second child.
I think that I ovulated on July 9th putting me at 4dpo.
Does anyone want to wait with me? Anyone else trying for their second?

I just started the 2ww also - we are ttc #3 and I am terrible about testing too early. I waste so many tests. I'm a "pee-stick-aholic" haha. I am going to try and wait until the 16th or 17th to start my daily testing. I have a long cycle that ranges between 30 and 33 days. Hoping for BFPs for all of us!

I am also just days into my 2WW. We are TTC #3. I was set against another (as I'm CONVINCED It'll be another boy lol) but Hubby talked me into it. Although.. Deep down I thought about it. I have a 22 month old son and a 7 month old son.

Mom2IrishBoys - I'm in exactly the same boat!! I have two boys & am really hoping for a girl this time. My boys are older - 8 and 3 - we used the Shettles Method, although I have heard mixed reviews. When it comes down to it, its pretty much 50/50 chance again this time :-)

I'm trying for #2.

I'm 10DPO, but my order of cheap HPTs hasn't arrived in the mail yet, so I won't be testing until next week. By then I'll either have felt the twinges of a period or actually be pregnant. DS's chart showed sore boobs at 12DPO, so I keep thinking that if I don't have at least that by 12DPO this time around, then I'm probably out.

MeredithA- We were kinda starting out w/ that method, but being this was my 1st cycle charting.. The Calander esstimated my O to be the 2nd of this month and it didnt happen til the 6th lol. I didnt know for SURE that I O'd until after due to my temps. So we ended up DTD the 2-4 and then the 6th.. so im hoping those girl swimmers were still around waiting to greet that egg haha. but yes.. ive read of a few methods and they all seem to be just over the 50% chance anyway..

Hi There!  I am trying for #2 as well.  My DD is 29 Months and so much fun.  I think I am 9 DPO according to my FF chart, but I am not 100% sure bc this is my first cycle after mc.

Hello everyone! I'm *hoping* I O'd yesterday or today and that I'll soon be in the 2ww! EVERYTHING points to O, just waiting for temps to confirm it redface.gif DS is 20 months old and I would like another boy - though a girl would be fun too. This is also my first cycle after a very early miscarriage.

Hi all,

I'm proud to report that I got my BFP this morning at 12DPO.

Yay!

Hey guys, I'm new here. Not quite in the 2ww yet but will be in a few days I think! This will be our 2nd month trying to #2 and itonly took two cycles for DS so I'm praying for a speedy visit here!

Good luck to everyone and Bobbys, congrats!!!!

Yay! I'm so glad for the company!
Bobbys- congrats to you!
Ava and Sila - I'm sorry to hear about your mc's. I got pregnant the very next cycle after an early loss with my DS. I'm hoping that is the case for you both.
I'm totally obsessing over "symptoms" like pressure and wiggles in my belly. I've been charting for 6 months in preparation for this cycle of TTC. So I'm overly tuned into my body. Haha smile.gif
Still, holding out hope although I realize doing shettles halved our chances. I know it's not even proven to work but considering I've been oogling baby girl clothes for years, I figured I had to try wink1.gif

Cyndi - How many days before O did you DTD? Are you going to try DTD closer to O if it doesn't work out this time? I have heard of a few women who did that a few cycles and then just got impatient and ended up getting pg with a girl anyways winky.gif AFM there are times I think a little girl would be a lot of fun but it scares me a little! I kind of think this next one might be a girl because  we want another boy and because we don't have any girl names we like! Pretty sure I O'd on Sat! http://www.fertilityfriend.com/home/SilaMarila

Sila - We DTD 3 and 2 days before O.  We were sort of half trying this month because I had to see my OB for a pap (I developed some precancerous growth with my last pregnancy) and it was just bad timing that it was when I was ovulating.   I honestly don't know if his poking around in there helped or hurt my chances.  He was feeling my left ovary and I felt a ZING of pain and he said "You're probably ovulating."  And then (TMI) I bled lightly for two days from the abrasion to my cervix from the exam which I also took as a positive sign that I was ovulating because my cervix was so "vascular" - his term.  So.....I'm sort of hoping that he POPPED an eggie out and sent her on her way to meet the waiting sperm!ROTFLMAO.gif

If we don't make a baby this month we will just be going at it every day through any fertile CM that I get because I worry that with my age, not every month is a fertile egg.

I'm sure you're right that you'll get a girl if only because it will be stressful and inconvenient!  That's life, right?

Cyndi, we did the Shettles method for a girl this month also and I'm in my 2ww - We stopped 3 days before O, and now I'm worried that we stopped too soon and I won't get pregnant at all, haha. I've been charting since January and hoping for a daughter. Although, another boy would be easier since we have all the clothes already.

Fingers crossed for girls for us! :-)

Meredith - I hear you about already having the clothes for a boy!  It sure would be cheaper ;)

I wish you lots of baby dustdust.gif

Who else is OBSESSING over everything?

I've had cramping pretty much every day since O along with a headache and last night my right nipple was sore/tingling.

Anyone else crazy??

Oh, I'm crazy too (aren't we all when ttc?) - I swear I can think myself into feeling something, haha! If I think about cramps enough, I'll experience them. And as soon as I read your post I'm like hmmm maybe my nipple is tingling too... Yep, I'm nuts.

I'm actually more relaxed today since FF gave me crosshairs orngbiggrin.gif I'll probably start "feeling things" in another 3-4 days. Drinking my pineapple core smoothie right now sending thoughts of implantation to a hopefully clump of dividing cells! I'm still feeling a little crampy though...

You guys take the girls and hopefully I'll end up with my little boy love.gif We timed well for it...

I had a FUN day today! I got to take my 22 month old son to the ER cuz he put a spoon handle half way through his tongue. OY VEY. He is ok, and luckily didnt require stiches. But now I'll have a strung out sugar high lil boy runnin around as he's on a strict 'Clear liquids and Ice Pop' diet for the next few days lol. I got him those Go Gurts sp? and froze those to. Atleast they are a bit healthier than just ice pops lol. Ahh.. just a day in the life of a Mom huh? lol
