No poo without the poo

Is there anything wrong with just doing the ACV and water rinse? I made the switch today but I didn't bother with the baking soda "shampoo", I just did the "conditioner". What's the reason for the "shampoo"? My hair is drying right now and is super soft already.

I usually use just the ACV (and actually, I only even use that once a week or so now). If my hair feels grimy or greasy (very rarely, I have dry hair), then I'll use a bit of BS, but I almost always skip it.

Nope, nothing wrong with that. I dried my hair out trying to use BS and ACV every day. I did try ACV only (instead of conditioner-only like lots of people do) but after the first couple of days of nice soft hair, it went greasy. After a few months of experimenting, I realized that I could do BS just once in a while when needed, and then once I had my hair feeling "right" (clean enough but not stripped), I switched to water-only. Now only very occasionally do I use baking soda or a shampoo bar to de-grime my hair; the rest of the time I don't need it.
