Okay, edited to not let this one see the morning light~ Amazing how just writing things out can help decisions be made :)

Wow! That is a lot of people to attend your birth! Honestly, I don't know if I'd be comfortable with all of those people in my house/L&D room/birthing room during labor, but that's just me.

Now, if I was in the position of being the friend that was left out, would I be hurt? Yes, but I'd get over it. I'm sure you'd make it so that she was able to be there shortly thereafter, right? And I would certainly be honest with the friend that would be left out. It would hurt more to find out later that she was secretly left out.

Just a thought! Good luck!

Way too many people for my liking as well...........but that's me. I don't need it to be like some arena event and like privacy but everyone is different and you just have to do what makes you feel best and in that case I'd say a firm no and not feel bad.

Girls~I am not asking about that! It is my family, my 3 and 6 year old daughters and midwives. Simple sweet home birthin with family. Someone there to watch the children and tend to other household activities like bakin birthday cakes and joyful celebrations. I am fine with the number of happy souls in my house.
