So I have a question. For those of you that used castor oil to bring on labor, how long did it take for diarrhea and/or real labor to start? I drank my cocktail at 5:40pm and so far nothing. My hospital induction is set for 5:00am tomorrow, which means we have to leave the house by 3:30am. That doesn't give us much time at all. See the "Due at the end of June" thread for an update on why the induction is necessary. We'd like to ask for another day, but we don't want to risk our baby of course. It's not worth risking baby just so we can keep our home waterbirth. And since low amniotic fluid does present a very real risk we feel like we really should stick with the induction as planned. The reason it's scheduled for so early I guess is because the hospital was swamped. I was really hoping that it would have been later in the day. I guess I'm nervous that I'm going to be leaving for the hospital while dealing with diarrhea. And I'm also nervous that we're going to be starting induction at a hospital when if we had just stayed home half a day longer I would go into labor myself.
