Dr Bronners for dishes by hand?

Thread Starter

I bought some Dr b's today in peppermint and washed my hands with it and I loved how it smelled and felt. Does anyone use it for washing dishes by hand, I don't have a dish washer. If so, do you mix anything else with it and how much do you dilute it?

Does anyone use for body wash, I'm wondering if it dries out the skin? I also bought a small bottle of the mild baby for my son, who isn't a baby, he's five but I figured it would be plenty sufficient. I'm thinking either a few drops on a wet cloth or in the bath would be enough?

Sorry, I'm sure this topic has been covered over and over but I'm so new to this.

It can be a bit drying but I add a few drops of jojoba oil and water to it before washing the kids. Its a great soap though! Cleans so well and such a great lather.

I plan on using this recipe once we run out of the Dawn soap that we're currently using:

I've used a lot of other cleaning recipes from this blog and they've all worked great, so I trust that this one will work too. I'm planning on making some toothpaste and deodorant for DH when those run out. We already have a big bottle of Dr. Bronner's Peppermint ready and waiting!

I use Lavendar Dr. Bronners on my face and Body in the shower. I love it. I have really dry skin and Dr. Bronners does not bother it at all. LOVE  IT! I have tried it on the dishes but it did not break up the oils and muck like regular dish soap.

i love it for my dishes. it's not as foamy as detergent, but it works well. but for really greasy stuff i squirt it directly on the dish rather than just having it dissolved in the water.
