It is amazing what you get used to. I am still very tired, but not as bad as when it started. Everyone told me it would stop happening, but it hasn't. I hope things change for you. I tried the tips on the NCSS, but nothing really helped and it ended up being a lot more work for me trying to implement things in the middle of the night, so I am just going with the flow and hoping things will change eventually.

So I tried something new last night, and it seemed to work. Maybe it will work for you since our LOs are about the same age. I had been trying the method from the NCSS to get hm to stop associating sucking with sleep, but every time I would take the nipple out of his mouth it would jar him awake and he would get really mad and cry. I tried it over and over with no progress. So last night I changed the method a bit, I sat up in bed with my shirt open so he could breast feed if he wanted to, but I didn't help him stay there so that as fell asleep he would fall down into my lap and lose the nipple. He would suck for a bit and then lie down beside me and after about a dozen times he fell asleep! I waited for 10 minutes and then moved him to his bed where he slept for three hours!  Then he was up for a diaper change but went back to sleep the same way after nursing only a few times for a few seconds each.  The third time he woke I rocked him back down while he kept his hand on my nipple but didn't nurse. At some point between 3:30 and 7am he woke up and I brought him to bed with us, but I don't remember. So all in all a pretty successful night!

We have been experienceing the same for aboutt 5 weeks. Dd is 5 months. Everyone that I talk to to that bfing and cosleeping experienced the same thing at this age. They said it got better by 7 months and then starts again when they start crawling
I definately think it is ties to developmental growth for baby...hang in there and remember it wont be like this forever. Try to take naps if you can

I have been doing something similar. When she wakes up (we co-sleep) I lay down and put her on top of me. When she is done, she rolls away from me and falls asleep on her own. The issue is that she still wakes up a lot to nurse like this. Sometimes every 30 minutes. Now I try to pat her down and rock her if she wakes up in less than 1hr. She fusses a lot, but it works 70% of the time.  I had to ask  DH to sleep in a different room every night. Having him in the same bedroom with us makes things really stressful. He can't fall back asleep as easily as I can after every awakening, so the next day he is in horrible shape. Then he starts pressuring me to change things and the recurring suggestion of trying some kind of modified CIO method reemerges. When she turns a year old, I will think about night weaning. Hey, I would be happy if she gave me 3 straight hours of sleep every night.

My six month old was sleeping long stretches at night.  For the past month he would wake up every few hours while teething.  Well, last night he was up every hour.  He wakes up crying, then he drinks his milk, goes to sleep, and wakes up within in hour.  Is this normal?

Totally normal. It's prob a growth spurt as well as teething. Try increasing the amount of protein he eats during the day. Yogurt, eggs, meat...
