Is this making progress? lol

So I've been having BH contractions for weeks on end.  Today is different somehow in that they are still 15 minutes apart, but they are starting to feel painful...Think I'm getting somewhere?  I'm a week overdue and fighting induction talk with my m/w so I'm clinging to any hope that I might go into labor on my own before Thursday's nst and u/s appt.

I hope things are moving along for you too but that was not my experience last night!  I was having regular BH from 8pm on and some of them were more sensation filled than others...had them all through the night and then they stopped this morning around 8am and didn't come back.  I am 40 weeks 5 days today and hoped it was the start of labor!

Everyone's experiences are so different!  This is my second baby and my experience this time is so different than baby #1.  Hang in there and think good birthing thoughts!

I was told the rule of thumb is more than 4 contractions an hour for more than 4 hours is a signal that serious labor could be starting.

It sounds like you are making progress.  Have you tried other things to move labor along?  Homeopathy, EPO, walking, etc.  Do everything you can think of to get labor moving!  I hope everything I'm doing is enough b/c I can't be induced.

Has anyone tried acupuncture/acupressure to encourage labor?

I was having uncomfortable contractions 7 minutes apart for a couple hours this morning (and through the night). I took a nap and they never quite picked up again after that. So frustrating.

Did yours amount to anything?
