Help me repurpose a sheet

I have an old fitted sheet. It's an ugly light yellow color and has a few stains it picked up in the laundry. I received a new sheet set as a gift so this one is out. It's too gross to donate so instead of tossing it, what should I do??

Can you sew?  Reusable grocery bags.

I'm using old sheets to make a rug. Sheets are great and cheap fabric.

Cut up, you can use it as a substitute for cheese cloth in the kitchen. I use old sheet material to strain jelly and make yogurt cheese for the kids...

tie dye it!!!  or cut it smaller and tie dye the pieces.. we made some doll blankies for dd's doll this way.  i bet they'd make cool gift wrap kind of things too, once they were died.  or play cloths for the kid.. dd uses those doll blankets lots of different ways.

That's what I was going to say.  I have crocheted, knitted and those "flower" depression rugs all through the house and they are mostly made from fitted sheets.

Thanks for all the innovative suggestions!

I ended up cutting out the elastic to use in sewing projects. Then I am using the sheet as a floor covering that my 2.5 yo babysitee can color on with fabric markers. Once it's covered with marker scribbles I plan to cut it up and use the pieces as "disposable" wipes or liners in the diaper.

So sheet to canvas to baby's bum cloth...
