This is the closest I've seen to a cover.  It's a OS Pocket.

i've never made diapers- i don't know how you would tie-dye the cover part- isn't it a water proof material?

i thought you  could only tie-dye cotton? or silk?

i would love to sew and dye my own...i'm just not that crafty.  (yet?)  :-)

I've had my hands on the ButterBears (used to live right by Jillian's) and they do seem very nice.

As far as doing your own, perhaps you could dye a cotton fabric, and then use a plain PUL layer under it (similar to how many of the WAHM ones that I see on Etsy a lot).  Pretty fabric outside, utilitarian layer under it.
