VBAC at the Farm??

I was just told that they are no longer doing VBACs at The Farm.  Does anybody know if this is true?

Hi Sandy!

I have been told that it often depends on how the uterine muscle was stitched double verses single.

I think the best way to find out is to call.

Yes, definitely call.  I called a few years back and they will not do single layer, which is highly annoying since the evidence does not support such a position, but oh well.

I agree.  I have read that single is actually better because of infection issues.  Either way I dont think it really matters.

I thought they were depending on if two layers of sutures on the uterus. There are some homebirthing CNMs in North Carolina who will do VBACs. There are now, currently, 13 of us homebirthing CNMs & soon to be 14 and we located from the mountains west of Asheville alll the way to the Coast.
