Mail order grass-fed cheese?

Thread Starter
anyone order grass-fed cheese by mail? We eat a lot of dairy and I would love for all of it to be organic and 100 percent grass fed. Raw milk would be even better. I can get good butter and milk and am delving into simple cheese making and yogurt making, but would love to get a few good big blocks of cheese that will store well for a while. Or if anyone knows a source in the Seattle area even better. Thanks!

List of grass-based dairies:

However, there are far more cheesemakers than what is listed here.  The NE has a lot of grass dairies.  Here's the VT page of cheesemakers:

Be sure to specifically ask if they are "100% grassfed" if that's what you want.  Many say grass-fed/grass-based but still feed grain.

You should try some of the cheese first, before buying a ton of it, to save yourself from some of the truly awful (yet raw, grassfed, etc) cheeses out there.  I'd rather buy a fabulous cheese from a farm that feeds a bit of grain.

Seems to me that some farms focus so much on the "health" aspects of their product that they forget about taste.  Just my observation!
