has anyone used supercharged science?

Hello, have been looking at this for my nearly 8 year old, we'd probably get the premium package (he's very into his science).

Has anyone used it?

It seems to get good reviews but I'm really aware that they have an affiliate program, and I'm not sure if those who are giving it good reviews are in on the program.

Another mild concern is that it seems to be marketed to families who don't like science or who aren't confident in science teaching. DP and I have both studied science at uni level and really like it, so we don't fall into that category. (what we do have, unsuprisingly, is science-mad kids)

I'm aware they have a free trial, but my kids are off with their grandparents so they can't try it out. But if it isn't for us, I need to find another science curriculum-and because I am in the UK I possibly need to allow extra time for shipping. So wanted to know what the rest of you thought first.

Also, how much stuff do you need to buy and is it "normal" stuff? I'm a bit worried because we are in the UK and so we prob cant order direct from her.

Just wish there was a sample lesson on her site-just one!

We did the monthly thing for a couple of months.  Yes, just a couple.  It was at the end of the school year.  I actually really liked the program.  The information was good, the experiments were great. . . but we weren't logging on enough and I had a hard time getting some things to work well.  I was also sometimes unsure of materials.  We were doing the units on electricity and robotics.  That said, I would totally buy one of her kits that included everything.  We could work at our own pace (cost same if we take 1 month or 10 months) and I wouldn't need to try to find supplies.  My oldest has done some of her "free" tele classes and have loved them.  I think she likes those more than anything and we will continue to do those.

ETA:  while it is marketed to families who "shy away from science"--I think it would be even better for a family who loves science.
