Help! Musty smelling boppy

I received a boppy pillow off of freecycle and it stinks!

I have washed it 5x! 2x with natural detergent and 3x with not natural detergent and even non-chlorine bleach!

I can't *see* any mold or mildew on the pillow but IDK really what could be in the stuffing....IDK if it was stored in a basement or something...

Firstly do you even think it is safe to use it with the smell?

What can I do to get rid of the smell for good?

What could I do to rid it of any mildew or mold if there is any I can't see?

I don't have a great solution for the smell, but even in my frugal household I would probably consider it a freecycle-loss.  After 5 washes you'd've almost been better off to just buy a new Boppy!

I hope someone has a great suggestion because I always try to repair before replacing, but I'd think about how much work and $ you want to put into this 'free' item.

I would throw it away.

Chuck it.  You made a heroic effort to save it, but it is done.

So I just went to go throw it away and it doesn't smell musty anymore....I guess being aired out a week did the trick BUT do you think I can trust it?
