I am pregnant and while I used to drink a 16 oz bottle of kombucha every day, I can hardly stand a few sips these days. I haven't processed kombucha from my continuous brew in a couple weeks, and now, I have a big jar full of kombucha vinegar. I'm leaving on vacation tomorrow, and I'm just thinking that maybe I need to put my kombucha scoby on hold for the rest of my first trimester, but how do I do that? How do I care for it while it's in storage? How do I restart making kombucha when I take it out of storage?

I put my scoby in the fridge for the first 6 months of my pregnancy. I put it in a jar with kombucha and bit of sugar. It just sat there forever, and then I pulled it out and started a new batch. I did add a couple of cups of GT's kombucha to help it get going again. It worked just fine. :-)
