Calling all chart experts! ..again, again ;)

This time it is for my sister.  She just wants me to show her chart and get opinions, because you ladies are much more awesome at reading charts than those on her boards winky.gif

A little basic info:  28yrs old, TTC #2 since #1 was born in March 08 (husband is in the Army, and was deployed for a year in there, plus basic training...and strange work hours).

Got PG her first cycle after he came home, but miscarried at 6weeks.  Her last cycle was the first after her miscarriage.

She's hoping to ovulate soon, but it looks like she had a false start.  How long before her body tries again, you think?   She thinks that her 1st cycle post miscarriage was annovulatory (I disagree), does that mean she will have annovulatory bleeding again this cycle before her body tries again?

Thank you!!

I agree with you in thinking she did ovulate last cycle. Though I disagree with FF's crosshairs and based on CM would say she probably ovulated closer to CD31. Which would give her an LP longer that 10 and make conception possible. It doesn't seem like she has ovulated yet this cycle. Her temps are a little erratic, though only a few are disturbed. Everyone's body is different but I would expect another patch of EWCM soon. I am in somewhat of the same situation though separately I guess you could say. I had been struggling to ovulate and you will see I had EVERY sign of ovulation and multiple positive opks. Yet, my body just couldn't release an egg. I'm now on my first cycle after an early miscarriage and am not sure if I have I ovulated for sure. Ovulation can be delayed for many reasons. In her case (and mine) I think her body might just be trying to get back on track after the miscarriage. Has she had her hormone levels checked recently? Here is my chart from last cycle where you can see how my body would gear up to O and then for some reason wouldn't...

I'm not sure any of this is actually helpful. Just have her know that many of us are also in this place of confusion!

Hmmm... you can tell a definite difference between her cycle back in 2007 when she got pg with her first (I assume?) and her charts now, which have highly erratic temps.  I might ask her about her temping routine and see if there are ways she could help her temps be more consistent.  Is she focusing on the same wake time?  Or is she focusing on amount of sleep?  Many women find it more important to focus on wake time than blocks of sleep when they are dealing with a night waking LO.  Does she temp as soon as she wakes or wait a bit before temping?  Does she sit up, get up, or drink water ever prior to temping?  Does she fall asleep sometimes while temping?  All of these things could affect her temp.  Is she temping orally or vaginally?  Vaginal temping can help some women get more consistency.

So her May 2011 chart is just after her m/c?  If I had to guess I would say she did ovulate, but it is not completely clear.  She has that patch of EW followed by sticky and dry CD 30-33, which is a classic sign of ovulation, but her temps don't line up.  She has some spikes and what appears to be a group of slightly higher temps that could indicate she was in her LP, but again it's not clear b/c there are some drastic dips.  I see the spotting with EW toward the end so my guess is that she did ovulate, but her progesterone levels were low, lowering her temps and causing the spotting.  Because she was regulating from a m/c that could be a reason that her CF was not quite lining up with her temps.  So I say she did O and probably like SilaMarila said, I would have guessed CD 31 especially since her CP was high and open.  I don't put much stock in the OPK's- those could be showing up positive at any point for whatever reason.

Her June chart is erratic with several attempts at O, but I don't think she has succeeded yet.  CD 19 was promising, with EW followed by dry and HSO CP, but her temps are not confirming.  I would expect another patch of EW pretty soon, but there really is no way to predict when.
