vomiting in brintax

My 17 month old has been getting sick when she rides rear or forward facing in her brintax... and I'm wondering if I should be getting a different seat.  She's vomited four times in her first year, and never did so in her bucket seat.  I am wondering if it might be the way the brintax fits her somehow causing some reflex or something. So, what do you all think about Sunshine kids?

At 17mths she should definitely still be rear facing. What angle do you have the seat at? An infant seat would be at 45deg. recline, but some convertible seats install more upright -- the Sunshine Kids Radian is HARD to install more upright in some cars ... so from that perspective it may suit your child better if it's the angle that is making her ill.

I wouldn't think the brand of seat alone contributes to the carsickness, but rather the angle, the time of the last meal, etc. so before I bought a new seat to try & solve it, I'd look at how the seat is installed, and what other factors could be contributing ... like did she 'graduate' to solid food around the same time as the new carseat? Could it be a combination of car rides & foods etc.

I agree that the brand of seat is like irrelevant. (btw, it's Britax, pronounced 'Breye-tax)

If you have not moved her to a more upright angle, try that now. She can be as upright as 30 degrees from vertical. And previous poster is correct; she should be rear facing only for quite a while yet!
