Lice! (well, nits actually)

Last night I discovered lice in ds1's hair - loads of them. Yuck. I found some eggs in ds2's hair and a total of 4 eggs in ds3's hair. Ds1, Ds2 and I did treatment from the pharmacist and I've washed and dried everything. I've cut ds1's hair and gone through it with a comb to get out as many of the little buggers as possible. Ds2's hair is short and I will go through it tonight with a comb.

My question is about ds3 (who is 2). I'm weary to do treatment on him and I'm wondering if he even needs it given that they are eggs and not live lice. I thought I had gone through his hair entirely last night when I found 3 eggs, but this afternoon I found one more so I'm worried about not getting them all.

I hate lice and really don't want to reinfest us again. What should I do?

Thank you!!!

Just keep combing. This sounds mad but here goes - t is hard to get eggs off hair but once they have hatched into tiny little varmints the comb will pick them up easily.

Mature varmints lay their eggs overnight so evening combing will catch any before they have a chance to get laying. Do you know where your dc got them from? If it is from somewhere they go regularly you should comb them as soon as they get home to catch any passengers they might have picked up during the day - again to catch them before they lay eggs.
