So I just found out tonight that the little ridge I see in the middle of my stomach is actually separated abdominal muscles. I don't have a dip, but rather a little hump, but ONLY if I am straining like sitting up straight from laying down or something like that. You can't see it at all otherwise and there's never an indentations. I was sitting up after my midwife measured me and I sat up straight and saw it and asked her about it and she told me that's what it was. She said I should avoid sitting up straight and always roll to the side first. She said most first timers have it go back together after baby.
What has been your experience? I am measuring small, did not gain a ton of weight, was thin before pregnancy, and gained the weight in a slow manner. Any of you have this before and everything sorta went back to normal after pregnancy...even if you had to work at it? Nothing I can do about it, but I'm just curious. It's been there since the end of the first trimester.
