What to do with warmed breastmilk?

I am wondering what should be done with a bottle of milk that has been warmed up (under hot tap water) and not completed. How long can it sit out of the fridge? Can it be refrigerated again and reused? How would the answer change if it is freshly pumped vs defrosted bm?

Thanks!! I couldn't find a definite answer for this in any of the literature I've read online...

I am curious to see other answers. I have been erring on the side of caution and if DD doesn't finish a bottle that has been warmed within an hour or so, I dump it. But I HATE dumping it, especially since I am out of freezer stash. It just kills me. But I thought I read somewhere that you should dump it.

I've read old threads saying dump it and others saying put in fridge within an hour and reuse and others saying just smell it and use whenever. So I have no idea what to do! Hoping someone has an expert answer...
