Congrats! So exciting that the baby parade has started!
Baby is here! (UPDATED with pics p. 3) - Page 3
lol, I was gonna say that! Maurine, I am so thrilled for you honey. Our babies just must have known how much we wanted to meet them for oh so so so very long. Welcome, little boy!!! I look forward to the pics when you get some energy back.
Hi lady! Oh what a lovely sentiment! :) We did it!!
Here are some pics! He is wonderful. A great, great baby.
The baby moon is ok...we're really struggling with breast feeding and I am feeling like a lactation machine. We had a tongue tie, which made it so my milk took forever to come in, and now I have low supply. Plus a sleepy baby. We're breast feeding, pumping, and supplementing with formula. At all hours of the day. So I feel sort of chained to the bed and the pump. It's really, really tough! We've been visited by an LC and had chats with lots of professionals. Gah. I don't want to take Reglan. We'll see where all this is headed. I sort of wish I could just enjoy the baby and not have to go through all this.
Maurine, he is so cute. These pictures are truly adorable.
Sorry to hear that nursing isn't going so well. Hang in there, it should get easier. I do hope that both you and the little guy get into the rhythm of it soon.
Whatever happens though don't let it overwhelm you and just do what you can, and I'm speaking as someone who beat myself up for months with guilt over failing to breastfeed DS longer than the almost 3 months I did manage. It doesn't always go smoothly, but the important thing is to get whatever help you need as early as possible so that it doesn't get worse. Perhaps once you have the time and/or energy pop over to the breastfeeding forum. The ladies there are really helpful and encouraging, and tongue tie issues seem to appear quite a bit on there.
