Which bedrail would you choose?

DS is almost 6 months old so we are getting ready to move our co-sleeper (which we rarely use except to keep him from falling out of bed) out of our bedroom.

I'm trying to decide between these two bedrails and I just don't know which one to choose.  Maybe someone out there has tried one of these and can give me some feedback or ideas?

I like this one because of the dimensions.  I like that it's 4 feet long so that I can put it up at the very top of the bed, right next to the headboard so there is no gap there and it will cover almost down to my knees, I think.  I like that it can't come away from the bed but I still worry a little bit about a gap.  Even if DS can't get stuck in there because it's attached to the other side of the mattress, it still makes me a little nervous.

I like this one because it sits on top of the mattress but it's not as high or as long.  That's my main issue with it.  I couldn't put it way up by the headboard.  The other is 48" long and 20" high and this one is 40" long and 15" high.  We have a king-sized mattress that is about 9" thick.

Or..are there any other suggestions out there?  I can't afford a Humanity Bed bolster and I think it would take up too much room on our mattress anyway.

Oh, I also considered the Bed Bug rails...thought I might get them...but then was worried that they might not be high enough and that they would take up room on the matress.  But I might still consider them.

We use this one and like it. We have used it for almost 3 years.

We used the Bed Bug Bumpers for a good year or so and they worked pretty well. Yes, they take up a little bit of mattress room, but they're definitely high enough and there's no way a baby will get wedged in. They're also very portable and easy to take on trips.

How big is your bed? We used the BBBs on a full size bed, and did all right. I always felt a little squished between my husband and son, but fortunately I'm fairly small.

We have a California King but my husband and I are both rather, ahem, large.
