Teething already?

My baby girl is only 2 1/2 months old and she is starting to drool like crazy. I feel like DS started drooling early too, like 3 or 4 months, but this seems really early. She's not uncomfortable, just really drooly. Anyone else experience this? Was it indeed teething for you? DS first tooth didn't pop until 6 months, so I guess it wasn't teething.

I cared for a baby who got her first teeth at 2 1/2 months.  It's unlikely that it's teething, but entirely possible.

my pedi says teeth come in in three stages... DS (~3 months) just went through a period of lots of drooling and discomfort (it lasted 3-4 das) but I don't expect his teeth to come in for a little while yet. I bet your DC is experiencing some form of teething!

it's definitely possible, but unlikely.  my DS started drooling like crazy at that age too...and then i saw two white beads under his gums, in the area of his bottom incisors...but nothing ever really came of it.  he got the usual bottom two at about 6 months, and the top two are coming in now at 8.5 months.  the white areas are likely just cysts or something, and are still visible.  one of the pedi's we have seen said that the drooling was more of an indicator of the body getting ready for digestion rather than teething.  hth!

ds (10 weeks today) is doing the same exact thing, but doesn't seem uncomfortable either.  am curious to see when his first tooth arrives.
