Can he go 7 hours with out nursing?

My ds is 14 months old, I am working 3 days a week, usualy for about 7 hours.

From 11 months (when I started working again) untill now my mom or dh brings him to me to nurse at my lunch break but now I have moved work place and am farther away.

A few times in the last few weeks it has not worked for someone to bring him to me so he has went the whole time with out nursing at all, he just eats more food...way more.

On the days I am home with him he will probably nurse 2-3 times in that time frame but when I am not there does not seem to notice and is happy.

I guess what I am wondering is what you all think of this, it seems to be working fine and he still nurses lots while with me. Pumping is so hard, it takes for ever just to get a few oz...is it worth it? I just dont want to be hurting him because I have to work

I stopped pumping for my almost 10 hour separation when DD was 15 months because she started refusing the bottle. usually they just make up for it when mom is around.

yes, i'd say he's shown you he can! haha...

if he's eating well and not having weight issues, than a separation that long at that age is generally fine. i know my dd started being able to go that long without bm around that age too.
