DIY bath and body

I was just wondering if anyone else has some ideas for this that they want to share for everyone to use :) Here are a couple of my "recipes"

Milk Bath for any age

1 cup dry milk powder

1 cup ground oats (oat flour)

one or more of the following:

lavender buds

cinnamon (not for very young babies or sensitive skin)

vanilla bean seeds (scrape from the inside of the pod)

add all ingredients to jar and shake together well. Add according to bath size- about 2 tbsp for baby/toddler bath, 4 or 5 for adult size one

homemade srcub (for adults or older kids- very exfoliating)

1/4 cup granulated sugar (white or raw, any type)

1/4 cup sea salt

2 tbsp olive oil

2 or 3 drops aromatic oil (optional)

mix together in a small bowl and use within a few days

coconut and oat facial mask (increases circulation, moisture and color)

1/8 cup milk

handful rolled oats

pinch cinnamon

soak oats in milk for as long as you have available- at least 15 minutes. Add cinnamon. Apply to face, hands or feet and relax for 10 or 15 minutes. Wash away with clean water.

milk and date mask (not for oily skin, but very nourishing)

whole milk

2 or 3 good-quality, soft dates

in a small tupperware or cup, place dates and cover with milk. Leave to sit in a sunny window, partially covered, for a few days. Mash together, apply, and leave on for as long as possible- a couple of hours is best. Wash away with clean water.

This is a recipe that a friend of mine told me about, but it's all over the web, too.  It works GREAT (although I did change my diet a lot around the same time I started using it and I've been wondering if that could help with the BO, too).  Since I started using this I just never smell at all.  I just used equal parts baking soda and cornstarch (1/4 c each makes a largish batch  --  will last you forever) and then stirred in coconut oil until it was the right consistency for me, like a thick lotion.  I love the light coconut smell!
