Hello to everyone,

Since having come to the realisation that I have a gifted child, I have also come to the realisation that it is often very hard for a parent to find help for their children, and even more difficult for a parent to talk to other parents about their concerns.  Parenting a gifted child is not, as many seem to think, at all easy! As a result, I started a facebook group called "Gifted Support". It is a place to simply talk and share links and ideas. You don't have to have proven gifted children to join, you just have to be supportive of giftedness. If you would like to be added to the group, please email me [e-mail]

This forum is great! I finally am reading things that I have often thought myself but I have never met anyone who was in the same situation.

Yes, me too! I wish there were more places like this around, it is so hard to find anyone to talk to in the "real" world.

It is, and I think that is really sad. I have always had extreme empathy for anyone.. and I couldn't imagine not wanting to support or allow people to talk if they needed. unfortunately, I find it hard to find others who feel the same. But, I will absolutely welcome this group as my support! Real world, virtual world, either way it's nice to know that there are others somewhere! :)
