Informal, very unscientific questioning- conception within months after stopping Clomid?

I know at least 4 women of a variety of ages who used Clomid for a few months unsuccessfully, took a break before deciding what to do next and conceived "spontaneously" without any additional medication or treatments. One had twins, all others were singles.

Has anyone else experienced or noticed this or am I way off? It seems like Clomid might have a more lasting effect than the label states.

Clomid still works for about 45 days after first dose. It definitely is still working on the next cycle.
There's also an effect on ovaries that once you fired them up, sometimes they stay fired up.
It's a known clomid thing.

That's a big help, thank you!

Yep! My mother, best frined's mom, and cousin all got pregnant one or two months after many cycles of clomid. In the seventies apparently they'd let a woman stay one for twelve months; my mom finally took herself off it and conceived me after two total years of trying.
