So if anyone was wondering, my birthing beverages come complete with heaps of liberal guilt irked.gif

OMG! That is crazy! I am really digging the coconut water right now though!

Thanks for the info Carrie. I am doing Vit C and some liver support stuff since I had the odd rash last week. I don't do a lot of processed things and no carbonated stuff... I have been eating so well this pregnancy with lots of protein. I have no numbers form my last two pregnancies so maybe this is just how I am... I just hope the numbers go up. The midwives told me to get papaya leaf extract tincture, which I can only find online and would probably cost at least $50 to get me through the pregnancy. I have read good things about it, but I have spent a small fortune on supplements lately!

Nope, it's a ford focus. It does the same thing though, with the wheel lock. I tried for 45 mins jiggling the wheel, and hitting the key (which usually works) to no avail.  We got a call from the shop tonight, there is something broken in the steering column, it's going to be a $500 fix, mecry.gifwe can afford it, but damn that sucks.

Also, I recently ordered some all-in-one diapers and just got 'em. Never thought I'd say something like this but - -  they make me so happy! They're so cute and will soon be worn by my baby!

I got some of mine in the mail this week too, and was also incredibly happy to know my baby's little bootay will be in them soon :)

Carrie -- You BRAVE woman, for taking a kiddo to the movies alone.  You are more woman than me!  And, oh yeah...  CONGRATS ON THE PLATELETS!!!  We were all rootin' for ya!

EB -- Adding lemon curd to anything will make it fabulous.  I'm anxious already!!  If I have to wait until the end of August for a baby, I can at least try to bake the anxiety away winky.gif

Peony -- I'm so sorry about the swelling.  Just so sorry.  It's such a gross feeling.  Ugh.

Elevena -- Thanks for the recommendation!  The funny thing is, DH has gone there before, when we didn't have insurance.  I don't know why I didn't think of it *face palm*.  And I'm sorry to hear about the stomach bug!!  I'm hoping it is just the universe getting ALL the sickness out of the way in your house before a little one arrives.  Watch, you'll all be well all winter long...

Mareseatoats -- I love getting new diapers!  But hate stripping them.  I've found that adding a big canning pot of boiling water to one of the loads will equal at least a couple washes.  It's a process...

Imprint -- sending you opening cervix vibes!  The nipple stimulation when DS nurses gives me crazy contractions right now, so I bet it would work...

I would get really upset about that, too! I only ever see coconut water in the little snack box things. Much better! I'm so sorry!

Though, through all that bubblewrap on the floor and letting your little guy go after it would be really fun :D

Okay, I take this back!  We went to Wal Mart to do the week's shopping and I was having them off and on the whole time!  They were not painful so much as annoying.  I just got home and took a bath.  I am finishing off a liter of water as I write this and feeling much better.

A good/cheap option might be to just order the herbs and make a tincture.  Granted, it wouldn't be as strong as a full strength tincture (just due to the amount of time you have left), but you can see a noticeable change in the color of any tinctured alcohol after about a week, which I would assume to mean that there are some benefits.  You can get a POUND of papaya leaf for $5 from Mountain Rose Herbs, and they are ridiculously fast on shipping.  But you could make a couple jars of tincture for yourself, and then maybe also using some of it just in tea would help.  You could probably get all the supplies for less than $20 (alcohol + herbs + shipping), and it would make more than enough to get you through the rest of the pregnancy.

It is sadly the kind that has a sticky side to it.  So he just got all freaked out because it stuck to him.  And I got all freaked out because of all the dog hairs that stuck to it.  I swear I need to vacuum twice a day to keep up with that dog...

I've only made it to unwrapping half of the bottles, because I'm saving ALL the bubble wrap, slowly and neatly wrapping it up around itself so that I can reuse it.  But a big part of me just wants to jump on the giant roll of it!!  It would be so much fuN!!

Carrie, congrats on the platelets. I'm going to have to get my hemo tested again, soon.

AFM:

Well didn't get to see HP. I was too tired at that point. (Didn't get to sleep till 1pm, and the movie was at 6:45) but I slept pretty much straight through the night, except a couple hours up.

Now I'm feeling very nesty but I can't do anything because what I want to do is move furniture and I can't do it alone.

So I get to wait till DH gets home from work soon and make him do it with me.

I'm sending you lots of healthy blood vibes.  I think you still have a great chance of your count being over 70, that would be so low it would be scary.  I haven't heard of using papaya leaf, but hey, whatever works.  Good luck!!

No, I wish!!  I took her to see Cars 2.  I think HP would be too dark and scary for her, and honestly I want to SEE that movie!  Not spend it chasing her back and forth to the bathroom.  I'm STILL hoping I get to go before having this little guy.  DH caught the plague that I had and we didn't get to go this past weekend, either.  SOON!  I hope!!

Ha - I was going to say save it, or craigslist/freecycle it!  DH needed packing peanuts for shipping some stuff and was able to pick some up free off craigslist once.  I'm willing to bet that ppl who sell/buy things on their own a lot NEED that sort of stuff.  But man, what a freaking WASTE, srsly!  What were they thinking packaging it like that!?  That's insane.

AFM - I think garlic is amazing.  Not only did it help Bree out, but since Sunday night I've been using it to fend off yeast and I'm just amazed.  No itchiness at all and I'm STILL on my abx.  So, I'm just going to keep using it til I'm in the clear.  I don't want to jinx it but I think it just might work!

Going to aim for a stroller walk this morning once I finish my coffee and DD finishes her cereal.  If we can get out early enough, I think we'll beat the heat.

Oh and BTW - I'm 37 weeks today!  OPEN SEASON FOR BABY!  banana.gif

Carrie, I'm so happy to hear about your platelets. It gives me hope that just maybe my hemoglobin count might have gone up. I get my blood draw on Thursday

Italiamom, I'm like you in that I'd save the bubble wrap to reuse too. We're planning on moving in October so I've been keeping all the shipping boxes from my online purchases for the last month. DS's room looks a bit like a warehouse right now, but it means I don't have to buy packing boxes when I start to main packing (I've already started packing small bits and pieces while decluttering)

I'm 35 weeks today, so at least another 2 weeks before this baby can make an appearance. I've had my first ever experience with constipation the last few days, and it really sucks. I feel so ready to explode and just can't get comfortable. I used to think I was constipated if I only went once a day, but right now its been 3 days and all that comes out is gas. I'm a bit wary of getting something to help it along in case it works too well and starts me on contractions too. I've probably got another week or two before the prodromal labor starts, as I had it for the four weeks before DS was born, so I won't be surprised if that happens again. I just don't want it to start too early if it isn't going to do anything.

Thanks!  And I'm crossing all my crossables for your hemoglobin count now!  I'll send any vibes I can spare!!

I've had a lot of luck using just a stool softener, like colace.  Sure, it makes you go, but not in that OMG laxative sort of way.  And when you finally go and see what you created, man. It's no WONDER you felt like you were going to explode.  I sometimes can't believe there's room for all that crap AND so much baby, srsly.  I hope you get some relief soon.

Thanks Carrie, after typing that I had to use the bathroom, and I can't believe that there was room inside me for that and a 35 week old baby. No wonder this LO has been wriggling around like a mad fool for the last few days. I'll bet baby is much more comfortable now. And I'm glad I haven't had to take anything for it. With this heat I probably got a little dehydrated over the weekend and didn't catch up on my fluid intake until yesterday. I won't be letting that happen again before the baby is born, its way too uncomfortable.

This was my problem ALL week last week.  I wanted to rearrange the furniture.  But at the end of the day, DH is too tired, so we had to wait until the weekend.  It was driving me BONKERS!

Glad to hear that the garlic is keeping those yeasties at bay!!

If you need more boxes, before you buy any, check Craigslist!!  Several moves ago we got a BUNCH of the heavy-duty professional moving boxes for free that some people had after unpacking from their cross-country move.  If we had gone to Mayflower and bought them, they would have been hundreds of dollars worth.  I can't stand paying for things like that, and it sure beats going from store to store to try and collect a box or two.

AFM -- Had terrible insomnia again last night.  It's DS's naps that are killing me.  I usually lay down with him to help him go to sleep, and I always fall asleep!  And then I can't go to bed at a reasonable time because I've taken too long of a nap.  And then I only get 3 or 4 hours of sleep, and I'm exhausted all morning, and then I go to lay down to help him fall asleep and...  It's a vicious cycle.  I try so hard to stay awake, but I usually fall asleep before DS does during nap time.  Sigh.

Right!? Of course, DH thinks it's hilarious. The first night he brought me a jar of oregano. The next night he said, "Oh, do you want the crushed red pepper and some bread in case you get hungry tonight?" OMG he's soooo funny.  eyesroll.gif

I was having so many BH's on my stroller walk this morning!  OMG it was a bit insane.  I've never had to stop in the shade so many times.  Then I came home, sat on my ass for awhile, consumed massive amounts of buffalo wing pringles, some diet dr pepper, an everything bagel with butter, and then HAD to get up and clean.  DD had her toys out everywhere.  But, I keep having to stop!!  So many ctx!!  Lordy, lord this is just annoying me now!  So, I decided I'll wait to vacuum.  Going to sit with my feet up and drink a huge glass of ice water, and just wait till these stop.

DH is running out to pick up DD's new twin bed frame soon.  Her mattress came last week and we've had it upstairs airing out.  Goodness, it's comfortable.  It's one of those memory foam mattresses.  I so want one for myself!  I kid with DH that I'll sleep on her new bed, and the two of them can share the queen.  Haha!!

Or you could just keep 'em going...  Get that baby out!!  NEED MOAR BABIES!!

Also, that sounds like the greatest lunch ever.  You are killing me with the Dr. Pepper, I want one so badly.  Might go for a walk to get a chai here in a bit to stave off the craving.  I'm still trying to walk every day despite my hips.  It's getting really challenging.  Sweet Becky PM'd me some helpful things to try and get some relief.  I'm hoping I'll get some time tonight to properly look over it, but I'm optimistic!  At this point I think even good intentions are better than nothing!

LOL!   I really shouldn't be drinking the Dr Pepper!!  I'm going to take a note from you and just stop drinking it.  It'll make that postpartum one, with lots of ice, all that much more special, I think!

Do you still struggle with the pubic bone pain?  NFN, but on a whim after my shower today, while my crotch was just feeling split in half and throbbing in pain, I slathered on a bit of my EMAB Mama Bottom Balm.  OMG.  Relief.  I would highly suggest getting some, or some sort of cooling salve.  It helps also with the varicosity I'm dealing with and the 'roids, too.  Just sayin'.

I'm beat.  My stroller walk completely wiped me out.  Sigh.  I really wanted to keep going til the end, but what's the point if it completely destroys me for the rest of the day?

Carrie, I'm so jealous of the stroller walks you've managed this late in the game.

Here in South Florida its been too hot to go outside for more than a few minutes for too long already. This is only my 3rd summer here and last summer I had a tiny newborn feeding 24/7 so didn't get out much then either. This year if I'm outside for more than 5 minutes I overheat and start getting contractions, so not cool at only 35 weeks. I miss being able to take DS outside for walks, and I'm sure he misses being outside too.

Instead we just stay inside with the a/c and watch the world from our patio doors.

Italiamom, I agree we need more babies to keep us motivated until the end of August. I just hope this LO doesn't keep me waiting until September, as I'm already getting impatient at 35 weeks. Only a month to go, only a month to go, only a month to go.

Maybe you could focus on some stretching in preparation for birth instead of the long walks Carrie? That might help loosen up those joints!

And did someone say dr. pepper? I want one SO BADLY!

But I can't. Because I can't poo. Triple doses of citrucel, prune juice, tons of water, fresh cherries as pretty much my only food, and NOTHING. Going on a few weeks of this, and I think it's the prolapse blocking things. If this, combined with the peeing issues from the bladder prolapse keeps up, they are going to admit me to be catheterized and flushed (although i was told an enema won't work with prolapse) UGH! Come on poo! (and I love that I can post stuff like that here...you guys are the best!!!) In other news, my ctx at night are SO BAD that I'm *this* close to going to the hospital most nights. I'm thinking once I pass the point where I'd be due for my progesterone tomorrow that things will really pick up.

I'm in need of some more newbie baby pics for a fix. Someone that's term hurry up! I wanna see some babies!!!!

Jill, I'm so sorry you're feeling this bad. hug2.gif

I had some constipation for 3 days that finally stopped this morning and I thought that was torture. I can't even imagine weeks of it. You've already done such a wonderful job of keeping Reed cooking that it doesn't seem right that you should have to suffer this too.

I hope you get some relief very very soon.

And I agree some new baby pictures from term mamas would be great to keep us going.

My nummy nummy coco and cream co-sleeper arrived! It's perfect! NOW, I just need to move this damned computer...oh god...it's so big and heavy and....BIG. (treadmill desk) I know I put it up, but....that was before I looked like an apple with legs. I wonder if I can coax my darling 15 year old with a bribe.....he's so strong, and currently available. I'd wait for DH, but I have the feeling he'll be super drained, and OH how he hates assembly.....He had a wonderfully victorious morning in court with a client....He was there as an advocate against Child protective services for this poor mama to get her little one back. The judge commended him for his integrity and awarded the child back to the mother after chastising CPS for removing a child without proper reason! YAY justice! i so love it when the legal system seems...uh...fair! So, YAY to DH for reuniting mama and child once more! I know it really gave him a boost to know he was making positive change! However...he will be tired....and I would so love to surprise him with a "done" project! We'll see....

Italiamom....I agree. lemon curd ROCKS my world! Haven't forgot..just a little busy...will get it to you! joy.gif

I am so jealous of all you early august mama's. I'm practically positive I'll have to wait till September to see my little girl! BAH!

I haven't had any poo issues (thank goodness) but I really had to pee when I woke up this morning and I could not BELIEVE how much liquid fit in there! Especially when for the most part I'm off to pee and hardly anything comes out. LO started dancing around halfway through and I imagined he was just so happy to have room to move again.
