we are gogin to have to move soon, and since we have to move I thought maybe we should just go where we have always wanted to go, Washington. My wonderful, amazing in laws live in Sammamish and I'd like to be close to them, but can not afford Sammamish and we want to live in the country with at least a couple of acres. any suggestions? (and by affordable I need at the very MAX $100,000 and that is pushing it. We might have to rent, but we need to rent someplace they will let us have animals, really buying would be better, but I need city ideas.

If your make is 100k you're going to have to rent. There is really nothing in this area for that price. Not unless you want a place on very little land that needs A LOT of work, and even then unlikely.

If you want to be near sammamish but have land, I'd look at Fall City/Carnation area. LOVE the Snoqualmie Valley!

I really don't think you're going to find a house with land for anywhere near 100k in western washington... Maybe eastern, but that's getting far away and you have to deal with snow in the passes to get to Sammamish in the winter.
