Hi, I realize I may be overreacting, but this hasn't happened since high school and I'm just a little concerned. I have been nursing my almost 4yo but it has tapered off- in fact yesterday was the first night we didn't nurse to sleep ever. I am having my period right now (which used to be super regular, every 28 days, lately every 21-23 days) and this afternoon had such a heavy flow that I soaked through and got my pants all bloody. I came home and there was a sort of large clump/clot of blood and just lots of blood. I'm just concerned because it's just so much more blood than I've had in years. You know in high school when you're just figuring out how this whole deal works you have accidents like that, but nothing like this in years.Â

So, do you think there's any reason for concern? Do you think it has anything to do with nursing coming to an end? I am 42 BTW and this is my only child so far. Thank you for any insight or advice.
