Sitter or mother's helper in Monmouth County?

I'd love to find someone to come hang with the munchkin a few hours a week while I get stuff done around the house or run errands. I'm also going to be working very part-time beginning in September and will definitely need help a few hours a week then. Does anyone have any recommendations or know anyone who'd be available? I'm absolutely open to a teenager, but worried about a school schedule not meshing with the hours I'll need once I start working. My son will be a year next month and is a sweet baby. I haven't left him much in the past, so want to ease into this slowly, for my own sake :)

I would suggest you contact more moms if you don't get a reply here. The MMC Moms group is a great place to start and they have a facebook page. I went to a meeting today (they meet every Mon at Monmouth Medical at 11 am) and they may be able to give you some info.

Thank you so much! I delivered at MMC and didn't know about this group! Would you be able to link me to the FB group?

Thank you both so much for your responses- I'm just getting back into things after a long break from the computer- eek! I would love to try to make the meeting Monday- is my 15 month old too old to attend? I really need to start getting more involved with other moms in the area :)

:( - this group is for "newborns" because the room is not equipped for babies that can walk..not really safe for them:(  so sad. so sorry. There are many groups for new moms all over the area - try the local library, many churches/synagouges, or the local YMCA - whatever you have to do to get out there and meet other women just like yourself - do it!

Let me know if you found any. Good luck:)

Thanks- that's sort of the impression I got, which is why I asked :) Totally understandable! I'm due with #2 in April so may start coming then if I can find someone to watch DS1.
