I am so excited to find this forum. I was a member of Mothering when my two boys were younger but sort of lost touch. We are now trying to adopt a little girl through domestic open adoption.  We are home study approved and just waiting to be matched. I look forward to reading all your stories.

Welcome.  We just adopted our son through open domestic adoption.  I hope you have a short wait.

We are in the process of a domestic infant adoption as well.  I would like to say that we are home study ready, but for some reason it is taking FOREVER to get it done.

Elizabeth, It took use a long time too for some reason. It was around the holidays so I think the social worker was just busy with family commitments. We just did an update which is much quicker.
