Thanks for all of the information on midwives who support vbacs.  I'm actually in my 2nd pregnancy and am making all attempts not to have a c-section again.  The recovery is very challenging, especially for a breast-feeding mother who is trying to recover herself after such a major surgery.  My 1st experience was pretty scary.  I was in labor for over 24 hours after being induced due to low amniotic fluid.  The anesthesiologist who attempted to administer my epidural failed after trying for 30 minutes.  I was left at 5cm with my cervix effaced 50% with no epidural.  I had stadol which did nothing but take the edge off and put me to sleep, but I was awaken by each contraction.  Nevertheless, this led to a c-section after not progressing passed 5 cm following 2 hours.  I then had to get a spinal before the c-section, but fortunately the anesthesiologist that administered this was more skilled.  When my baby girl was born I was ecstatic to know that it was all over and she and I both were in good health.  I was admitted on Tuesday night and delivered my daughter via c-section on Friday morning.  This goes to show how long inductions can last when your body doesn't react to them properly because they tend to coerce labor on you before it's time.  I will utilize the information given to guide me through my next experience smile.gif
