Cyst attached to frenulum (circumcision?)

My partner has a cyst (specifically a median raphe cyst) on his penis. It's been there as long as he can remember, but it's become invasive and he is planning on getting it removed. He is intact, and he is concerned that circumcision will be recommended since the cyst is attached to his frenulum.

If anyone has any knowledge on this subject, please share.

I dont possibly see how circ would be needed in this case. He might loose his frenulum but that should be all that he looses. He will just have to be very firm about no circ and he may need to interview more than 1 urologist to do the surgery.
