Lots of snotty stuff just came out...is this anything?

So I just peed and when I wiped, there was a bunch of snotty stuff.  Not clear like egg-whitey stuff you get around ovulation, but similar to that in consistency.  Not just a tiny dot, but a good amount I would say.  It's probably nothing, but I just thought I'd ask.  I'm 38 wks, 4 days today.

It's probably either a lot of discharge or your mucus plug!

It was yellowish and stringy and lots of it.  Definitely not my usual discharge amount, but it could be nothing.  It's just fun to think that it could be something.  That combined with the period cramps I've had since Saturday make me excited...though I fully expect it will be awhile before baby comes.  Don't want to get my hopes up.

That sounds a lot like what I'm getting today, although mine started a bit brown with old blood and now had fresh blood in it.  Since this is my third time around the feeling is pretty familiar and I will eat my shirt if I don't have a baby by tomorrow night.  That's not to say that you couldn't lose your plug and not go into labor, but for me, I'm pretty sure that the productive-feeling cramps and mega-mucous mean that labor will start for real very soon.  Wanna race?

I'd say that sounds like plug or bits of plug!  Exciting!

Yup. I would say its your plug!! HOW FUN!!!! It could mean a baby is coming soon.... but it also could mean baby could be a few weeks away still.

Could be plug! I lost mine over a week ago and nothing has happened. I hope you have better luck!

I've been losing pieces of my plug like that for a few weeks. Exciting!

Thanks guys.  I figure it could or could not be plug, but I know that even if it is, it doesn't mean anything.  I just like to think that it's plug combined with the cramping...maybe it means my body is doing something.  It's just neat to think about what our bodies do.  I'm ready.  I still feel very good and I'm not anxious for the pregnancy to end, but I'm ready to meet the baby now.  :)

Yeah, sounds like it. I think I've slowly been losing mine over the past few days, but no other signs of labor besides mild cramps at the end of the day. Could still be awhile for you or could be soon, but either way, your body is working and getting ready for labor!
