Well, I can't suck it in...

Baby #5, my lastborn having destroyed my stomach muscles makes for fun 'hiding' things. 8w and it's pretty bad. I don't have enough baggy summer work clothes! Oy vey. I can't believe how sticky-outy I am! Is it just me??

Nope - me too. DD was 9.9lbs, and sat sideways. My skin is so stretched out and covered in huge stretch marks that I'd have to get it surgically removed if I wanted to get rid of it. I had to get my pants out of storage at 6 weeks, and now, regular pants don't fit at all. My yoga style pants are even a little snug. Surprisingly, the top of my stomach is sticking out now, too.

Most of the stores around here have gotten rid of their maternity section or have cut it down to 1-2 racks. I had to order shorts online, so I really hope they fit!

It's definitely not just you. I kept waiting for my giant ovarian hyperstimulation abdomen to go down and...I guess it's not retained fluid anymore. Apparently, if you are really short in stature and have a short torso at the same time your uterus has nowhere to go but forward? I don't know. But I can definitely feel my uterus now, my abdomen is bizarrely solid almost all the way to my rib cage and I am HUGE for nine weeks. I am praying that my sundresses make it to the time when the weather changes because it will be a near thing.

On the creepy upside, I am still terrified that we are going to lose this baby so I am grateful to get the chance to experience the belly.

I wore an old maternity skirt today and a regular shirt and had to suck in HARD all day to avoid being asked by my coworkers or patrons. I made a mental note not to wear this combo for my night shifts, when the bloating is even worse! At 6 weeks, I KNOW it's just fluid and air.

I'm not sure I'm doing such a great job of hiding it.  I do have some baggy sundresses and tunic tees though so I am doing my best.  Oh, and thank heavens for my knit skirts with yoga waistbands.

I am in the same boat - I will be 8 weeks on Thursday.  Although I am still able to wear my regular clothes, they certainly are not doing me any favors right now.

I'm only 5 weeks, and I definitely feel bigger around the middle.  I already had some leftover baby weight there, and the bloating and indigestion is making it worse.  I had a family wedding to attend this weekend, lots of family I rarely see were there; I spent a lot of time pulling my tummy in and trying to be aware of my posture.  My pants still fit, though, so it can't be too bad.

9.5 wks now and I've been showing since 6 wks.  Now I'm starting to hear that it's "obvious".  I was going to keep it secret until 2nd trimester, but I don't see that working.  :)

I went to a second hand store that carries kids and maternity clothes. The poor cashier felt so bad for asking, but she asked if I needed maternity clothes. I just laughed and told her it is fine - I'm in that awkward "is she, or isn't she" phase.

Camera Girl, LOL, I think I have been in that awkward phase for years.  You'd think if you worked at a store and weren't sure whether a customer was expecting, a more appropriate response would be, "What can I help you find?".

It really hit home for me when my mom called my grandma to tell her the big news while I was there and she was on speaker phone with many family members gathered around, and my grandma said, " I thought she was pregnant" to which my mom responded "why would you think that?"  and she answered, "Because she has gained so much weight".

I was only six weeks at the time of the call and hadn't even seen my grandma since before conception.  Ugh.

Aren't grandmas great? Mine was a nurse, and when she heard that I was pregnant after a miscarriage, the horror stories started coming out. She had to tell me ALL about how my aunt had a molar pregnancy and didn't find out until she was 12.5 weeks. Yeah, thanks Grandma. Personally, I'm growing a bloaty fart baby.

I have now seen the pics from the wedding, and apparently, my sucking it in and good posture didn't help much.  redface.gif

I was in full maternity last time at 8 weeks (I'm now almost 6 weeks)...so we'll see this time w/ #3 :) I need to dig my maternity clothes out of storage soon!

I love this.

I switched to maternity pants at 7 weeks last time...this time I barely got to 6 weeks. Considering that my gummy bear is already measuring 4 days big (I know when I ovulated) I'm guessing I'm going to have another large baby. I'm thinking I better save my money, because the only way to get rid of this stretched out skin is to cut it off. At least I got a great reward for losing my figure. smile.gif

I already feel bloated and I am only 5 wks. I didn't lose all of my baby weight from my previous two babies and it is all around my middle. I am going to look so pregnant this time really early on.

If I haven't eaten, my stomach is almost totally flat, but when I'm full, my belly pooches out with the meal quite a lot.  This has always happened to me, it's not because I'm pregnant, but I'm a lot more aware of it now.  So if you don't count this after-dinner issue, I'm not showing at all, just maybe a tiny bit more bloated than usual.    8 wks.

I get to wear stretchy pants and a cute maternity top today! Yesterday I officially had 2 complete strangers congratulate me on our new addition.  Ugh.  I didn't start showing with my first until I was almost 20 wks. I didn't think it was 'that' obvious but I guess I was wrong.  I have this overhang I've never been able to get rid of after two kids but I could at least tuck it into some shorts and suck it in.  Now I can't do anything about it except wear bigger clothes.  Does this mean I get to go shopping??? bouncy.gif
