Anyone up for playdates in Portland area?

Hi Mamas,

Our family just moved to the Portland area and we are hungry for like-minded friends! We have 2 sons( 6 yrs. old and 1 yr. old). Our older boy will be starting 1st grade at Lyseth. Would anybody like to meet us in a park for a playdate? Are there any certain fun or community -building places we should check out? Thanks everyone!

Welcome to Portland!

I have a little guy who just turned 8 and will be starting 2nd grade at Hall in September.  I have a daughter who is 4.5 and will be in preschool.

I'm the leader of the local chapter of Holistic Moms Network - and we meet on the second Wednesday of every month at Greenlight Studio, the children's play place and cafe on the corner of Forest Ave and Dartmouth Street.

The 10th is also the August Chapter meeting and the topic is Frugal Green Living - lots of ideas will be shared about where to shop locally to save $ on everything from clothes, food, and more.
