Never Missed AF while EB?

So this isn't a challenge as much as a drag, but I had my dd in April and have had three periods since.  I breastfeed on demand (every 2-4 hrs) and never supplement.  I looked in my breastfeeding books, and they all say you'll miss your af at least until you start baby foods.  Am  I alone, is this normal?  TIA

I exclusively breastfed my son around the clock, every 1-2 hours, until he was twenty months (he never had a drop of formula), and I never missed a period, beginning AF again exactly 28 days after giving birth. I was told this was normal. I sure was annoyed!

How unlucky is that!  I guess if you were wanting to have a baby right away, it's a good thing, but that's not me.  I've also heard that a woman's supply decreases while she's "being visited" but fortunetly, I haven't had a problem.

AF never interfered with my supply either. I don't know if anyone else will chime in, but I think it's more common than we assume. Among women I know, I would say almost half (maybe only a third) of those who EBF went back to their normal cycle within 6-8 weeks.

My fourth child was the first that I EBF and I got my period back at 6 weeks PP irked.gif and was the most regular I have ever been up until I got pregnant when he was 28mo (and still breastfeeding). I never had a supply problem during my period either.

I got my AF back 5 months pp even before starting solids and nursing all night and all day with 3 of my girls. With my youngest I got AF at 2 months. Not cool.
