What happened to my love life?

So, DH refuses to have sex with me ever since we had a bleeding incidence a couple month ago.  It wasnt HEAVY, but it was quite a bit of blood with a huge clot.  MW told me it was likely a cervical polyp.  We never "checked" to make sure, but by the sounds of things, she's convinced thats what it was.  Anyways, fast-forward, and still trying to get DH to DTD with me... especially before I get too pregnant to even want to, or after the baby (since i DEFINITELY can't get pregnant now! :)) because there is still a recovery period.  

Anyone else having this problem? Has anyone else had a polyp that burst... do they come back? Anyone know what the chances are that some really horrible could happen as a result of intercourse? Trying to convince him to give it another whirl

Have you had him read anything about sex during pregnancy, that it is safe unless your care provider says otherwise?  My dh tends to need to hear things from an unbiased third party.

I would recommend a good book on pregnancy for dads, and it might help to have him talk with your midwife. I don't blame him for feeling scared, and he's probably just trying to protect both you and the baby. Learning more about it might make him more comfortable - it definitely did with my husband the first time around.
