Trainers for small 20-month-old??

Thread Starter

I have no idea where to start. I trained my son with just the padded Gerber undies and regular undies BUT we had hard floors then and I don't want to let my 20 month old DD loose in the house without some kind of protection against puddles. I do not want to do plastic pants over the undies because I've tried and she hates them.

Recommendations and where to buy?? I have a really small budget and need as cheap as I can. I do not sew, so it will have to be something I can buy. Thanks. :)

you can try Etsy, i saw some sellers sell the pull up trainer as less as $8.50 each.  Personally, I have no ideas about how their quality for that price, coz I sew my own trainer.

I got DD trainers from the EC store. Won't be of any use for DS; he weighed what she did at a year when he was 4mo.

How big is she?  My daughter is pretty tiny at 16 months.  She is wearing 12 month clothing - 20lbs, 28.5 inches.  Not skinny, but not chunky.  Anyway, I put on my son's old Gerber trainers and they actually stayed up. They aren't tight by any means (I wouldn't want her to poop in them!) but they worked.  Probably even better had I put a pair of normal fitting pants on over.

Antsy Pants sells a smaller trainer too, but they are expensive.
