I wasn't sure if I should post this hear of the breastfeeding forum, but I chose this one because I figured some of you may have or be going through this.

DS is 15-mos old and has regressed in his sleeping habits over the summer. We were sleeping most of the night in May (when he turned 1), but a couple weeks of vacations threw his schedule off initially. Also, he's cut about 8 teeth since May as well, and he is not a happy teether. Up until a few weeks ago I was able to nurse briefly and put him back in his crib, or DH could go in and give him a paci and DS would be content. We were'nt STTN, but he was only up 1-2 times during the night for a short period of time. DS does sleep in his own room in a crib. Co-sleeping is no longer an option for us -- DS sees our bed as being a playtime activity and also spins circles in his sleep. Neither DH nor I can sleep when him there -- we've tried multiple times.

Over the past week or so he's been waking 3+ times a night and nothing but nursing will console him, and even then it's a gamble. He is cutting some more teeth, so I know that's a factor. Also, we think hunger could be playing a role since he's not the best daytime eater. The problem is that I'm just not producing enough milk to satisfy him at night and he's been screaming like a banshee when we offer him the bottle. He won't even let DH try to comfort him -- it's me and nothing else. Last night we were up 3 times for about 45 mins each. I went to bed at 10 and didn't get more than a 2 hour stretch all night.

I start back to work (teaching) next week and really need to sleep. Really need to sleep. As much as I hate to do so, I think it's time to wean DS, especially at night, and get him to accept a bottle from both DH and I so we can share the nightwaking.

I'm just curious if anyone else has been through this and if you have any suggestions?? Also, for the teething we've tried motrin, tylenol, camomilla, gels, necklaces, benadryl - nothing works too well at night. I'm waiting for my golden tablets of Hylands to arrive, but I'm not sure when they'll ship. TIA for the advice.
