Trying for baby after d&c

Hi all.  I had a d&c on the 25th of June after my baby died at 14 weeks due to me contracting Bacterial manengitis.  I have been spotting now and then, but I did a HPT on the 2nd of June to check if my levels are down, and it was negative.  I was hoping to fall pregnant right away, but did a test on the 5th, 6th and 9th of July (yes a bit over the top I know) all were negative. I still have not had my period and it is nearly 5 weeks after my d&c.  I so badly want to know what is happening - but no idea when ovulation was or when I am going to have my period and when I can test.  To scared to test again and have another negative.

Hello CorgiMommy. If you aren't charting, temping, charting your cervical mucus, it is going to be pretty hard to say what is going on. Did you notice any Eggwhite like cervical mucus at any time? It is very common to have a wacky cycle post miscarriage. I have heard that if you were further along when you had your loss it can take longer for your body to get back on track. Mostly, I just wanted to chime in and say I am so sorry for your loss and that you aren't alone in this confusion! I started miscarrying on the same exact day (June 25th) I was only about 5 weeks and no D&C was needed. However, I'm charting, and I have not even ovulated yet. Though I suspect I will be soon. So I just wanted to say that you may not have even released an egg yet and you could still catch it! GL momma!

I'm so sorry about your loss. I just recently had a miscarriage at 5 1/2 weeks, no D&C was needed. But I had a miscarriage in March of this year at 8 weeks, and had a D&C and never had a period again. I have endometriomis and almost never have periods. And, I've fell pregnant twice this year. I am no good at figuring out when I'm ovulating, wish I could be more help. Good luck! Hope you get pregnant very soon!
