Supply all of a sudden gone in one breast-what's going on?!

My left breast has always had a little less supply than the right, and my DD (now 14.5 mo) has usually preferred the right.  About a month ago I noticed that the left side was completely "deflated".  It looks so crazy, like there's nothing in it!  The right one is still normal. 

I can hand express a drop of milk out of the left, but no real flow comes out.  My husband and I spent the night away for our anniversary about a month ago and I didn't pump and the left side still didn't fill up at all (the right did quite a bit).

So I'm at a loss here.  I still offer the left, but much less frequently because it hurts a little when she nurses and she's not real interested.  I'm not planning on stopping anytime soon and I'm concerned about how lopsided I look.  It's really obvious in tanks, etc., and even bras don't fit right because there's such a huge size difference.

Has this happened to anyone?  Will it eventually go back to looking like a normal breast?  Is this what my boobs are going to look like when I'm done nursing??  I was pregnant with this baby while still nursing DD1, so I haven't had a break from nursing in 4 years and I'm wondering what to expect.

Hi,

I'm nursing my 15 month old daughter and noticed the same thing happening to me.  My left side has always had more than my right, but in the last month, I've notice that the right practically has nothing at all and it starts to get sore when i put her to nurse for any period of time.  The left is still going.  Last month I had to travel for work for 2-3 days and didn't pump either...so i do wonder if that started things in motion or rather stopped things from happening.

Anyway, i've been thinking its normal and part of the weaning process...she's transitioning to organic homo while at day care.

I recall in the past, unsure at what stage of nursing, but I had the same issue. It seemed one breast was barely producing. Over a month I made an effort to offer that breast much more and sure enough, my milk supply began to increase.
