Congenital Diaphragmatic Hernia, anyone?

Hi All-

I am 24 weeks pregnant and our daughter was just diagnosed with a congenital diaphragmatic hernia. During the 9th and 11th week of pregnancy, the left side of her hernia didn't finish closing, therefor her intestines, liver, and stomach are in her chest cavity, preventing her left lung from any further development. 

We are still in a state of shock, it is hitting us in waves. We live in Maine, but on Wednesday we will travel to Boston to meet with a surgeon to better understand what her first weeks of life will look like and to change care from our home birth midwife to the advanced fetal care center. 

Anyone else out there with a Babe and CDH?
