ttc advice

My husband and i are trying to conceive and we would appreciate any advice we can get. I am 26 and he is 34 we are newly married in June but our hearts are longing for a lil one. I was on nuvaring for 1 year an stopped in Dec 2010 my periods were normal until our wedding and I went from 28 day cycle to 43!! Is that normal? So my period for June and July was 43 days. We took the home ovulation tests in June and we either misread the lines or never ovulated. For this month I start testing tomorrow. My Dr said test for 6 months and if still no baby we meet and ill have tracked it. Any and all advice would be great!!

Fertilityfriend and ovusoft.com (taking charge of your fertility book) have great trackers. The first one is free and the second I think you pay for. The cd comes with the book and it's a really  great book.

Is it possible you had an early miscarraige?  It could have come and went before you could test for it or before you knew.

Give it a year they say before worrying. There is only like a 25% chance of pregnancy per month or something near that.. it's been awhile for me. You can also buy at home sperm tests to check that department as it's the easiest to check.

Thanks! We were going to look into a home kit for him
I wasn't sure if they worked or not. Worth a try.

I was wondering about an early miscarriage...could have I guess. Thanks again

The only way I knew I had a miscarraige (chemical) was because I just happened to test on that day.. by the next day the line faded and faded and faded. They probably happen more often than people realize and are pretty common.

Stress can also make your cycle much longer by delaying ovulation.  The cycle in which I got married was the longest one I'd had yet.  You may consider learning to chart your cycles since it would give you a much better idea of when to TTC and what might be going on with your cycles.  Minor infertility problems can be overcome by good timing, and if there is a problem, charting will give you a better idea as to what it is.

I thought the cycle due near my wedding would be a lil messed up but after our wedding life has been no stress and month 2 was still 43 days! I guess it will stay on that. That amount of days?!?

Starting this last cycle we started charting and trying to keep track of everything. Just new to the idea.
