allergies

I was allergic to seafood during my pregnancy (I had no issues prior), and thought it would be gone after I delivered. I ate seafood last night and today, and hives broke out all over my body! I'm exclusively breastfeeding my 6 week old dd.... will it affect her??

I'm not sure if it will affect her, but probably not unless she, too, is allergic to shellfish.  I just wanted to say that I developed some allergies during pregnancy, too (with my 3rd baby only) and it took about 2 years for them to go away. I've had two children since and I never had a recurrence of allergies and those foods no longer bother me.
