Stripped Diapers-Did not work :(

I did a very thorough job, and they still smell. Now what?

I think stripping is best for repelling diapers, when they leak but are not soaked.

For smell, while it can be detergent build up, it is often bacteria in the diapers. For me bleach has always worked. I only add bleach when I pre rinse the poop diapers

Itwould depend on what the problem is and what you did to try and fix it.  Have you sun bleached them yet?  That can also kill bacteria and smells.  Plus will make them look cleaner if there are stains.

I think the best way to strip is boil and sun bleach if you can. I have stripped with dawn and gotten good results using uber hot water at the laundromat. You could turn up your water heater and try stripping again. I also do a whole wash cycle with diluted vinegar after I'm 'done' washing the dawn out just to be on the safe side. I fill the washer then add a couple of cups of vinegar and let it mix in then add the diapers.

 Ive on a few rare occasional had build up issues and tye have caused some assorbancy issues and rashy issues... However I've never had stink issues. In my experience smelly diapers are not being cleaned enough. I;d up the detergent add soem bleach for extra effect then rinse really well.

It took a good 4 months before I noticed a smell. I wash them very well, and alternate line and dryer.
I stripped them twice Saturday, and then left them out in the hot sun (visiting parents in Kansas right now) over Sunday.
 

I have them back in the wash for a strong vinegar wash. I will check on them in a bit, and strip again if need be. Then its back out in the 102 degree heat and full sun

No change at all.
So, I am resorting to a small amount of bleach.
The smell is awful.
