Anyone had a VBA2C with no labour?

I have a friend who wants a VBA2C but she's understandably scared. She's never laboured (first doctor pulled "big baby" card and scheduled a cesarean, second doctor she mentioned VBAC and got "nononononono" greensad.gif). Can anyone give me their stories of how it went and where you birthed and what you're glad you did or wish you had done?

I had this and I just educated myself and watched vbac videos to try and prepare myself.  Have her contact a doula as well for emotional and physical support.

My first baby was breech and after trying a version to turn her (she was sitting in the birth canal) (she wouldn't turn) scheduled the c-section. No labor was allowed as they were concerned with squeezing little baby hips, took her about 1 week early. (8lbs 3 oz.)

Dr was very encouraging of trying a v-bac on the second baby.  She induced a few days early (I was dilating) in order to make sure that size wouldn't be a hinderance,  That turned out to be an amazing experience, so I had 2 more, so 3 vbacs total.  Dr. Jane Reed (the woodlands, TX) was very supportive and encouraging and didn't assume a second c-s from the start.  I know it is not an option in every situation, but the right doctor can make all the difference.
