Homebirth in Harford Co/Bel Air, MD

Thread Starter

I'm looking for information on anyone who has had a home birth or planning a homebirth in Harford Co/Bel Air area. I'm interested in having one and am looking for contacts and resources. I have found a few midwives but most have offices that are atleast 45 minutes away.

I have had 2 healthy and happy births at GBMC, unmedicated, but I'd love to experience a more intimate experience.

Thank you!

You could checkout Harford County Birthing Circle.

Have you talked with Annie Rodriguez? (Search this forum for her # if not.) I believe she does prenatals in your home. I presume you're also already aware of Karen Webster & KC? (Yes, both not that close to Bel Air.)

If HB doesn't work out, Upper Chesapeake Midwives really are great. I highly recommend. Nothing beats HB, but UCMC is definitely, overall, a lot more natural birth friendly than GBMC.

I have had a HB & am planning another in December - I live in Bel Air.  Please join us at the Harf. Co Birthing Circle - it meets in aberdeen on the last wed of the month - there are quite a few of us there who have had HB's in the area.  Unfortunately there are not too many options for midwives in HC - but the ones who come here are really great & worth the drive :)
